With the intent of reaching potential customers early in their journeys, Betterment leveraged a powerful media mix of Digital Out of Home (DOOH) formats including billboards and urban panels, programmatic technology, and data-driven audience targeting to activate the campaign at office buildings, sports entertainment venues, gas stations, and convenience stores. Campaign messaging focused on promoting Betterment’s core taxable investing products and their Socially Responsible Investing portfolio options. The flexibility of programmatic DOOH allowed for creative messaging to be changed quickly throughout the campaign in select target markets.
