Lamar launches first light rail advertising program in Sacramento since 1997
Sacramento, CA – February 28, 2017 – Local, regional and national brands will have more transit advertising opportunities to reach consumers in Sacramento this year, thanks to the Sacramento Regional Transit District’s (RT) new light rail advertising partnership with Lamar Advertising Company (Lamar). Lamar (Nasdaq: LAMR) is pleased to announce that it is now offering advertising formats on RT’s light rail train service.
Advertising on the light rail trains began on January 1, 2017; it is the first light rail advertising program in Sacramento since 1997. RT provides transportation services for approximately 1.5 million residents in Sacramento County. The light rail trains serve 52 stations and 43 miles of track, offering service in Downtown Sacramento, State Capitol, Highway 50, Interstate 80, Historic Folsom, Rancho Cordova and Elk Grove.
Advertising benefits on RT light rail trains include:
- Exposure to thousands of motorists, pedestrians and commuters daily
- Unparalleled Downtown Sacramento/State Capitol coverage – every light rail train passes through the heavily populated downtown area
- High-quality exterior and interior displays on three dedicated train lines that travel by restaurants, community colleges, shopping districts, business districts and Golden 1 Center
